We know because we’ve been there.
Just days before she was to sign her first teaching contract, a hiring freeze forced our founder, Brooke, to get credentialed as a sub in her own classroom. Since then, she has served as an educator, administrator, philanthropist, nonprofit executive, and founder of an education consulting firm.
She and the BenchK12 team deeply understand the teacher shortage and retention challenge from a variety of perspectives, bringing decades of experience in K12 education as substitute and full-time educators, K12 leaders, and parents, and a variety of roles supporting schools with technology, policy, and philanthropy.
